MV2040 Action Plans

Community facilities are vital for service delivery, place-making and social interaction. They offer a space for people to meet and participate in community life, while enlivening neighbourhoods and supporting positive health and wellbeing outcomes.

Council has adoped the MV2040 Action Plan - Community Facilities (pdf, 7.11MB).

On Tuesday, 23 June 2020, Council adopted the MV2040 Action Plan - Fair (pdf, 3.9MB) (Accessible word version, 113KB).

This is our 6 year roadmap for a fairer Moonee Valley, which will be reviewed annually.

The first year of implementation will focus on supporting our community to recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Tuesday, 8 September 2020, Council adopted the MV2040 Action Plan - Connected (pdf 2MB). This is a one-year plan focused on how we can help our community and city start recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We want to have a connected city of accessible, active and sustainable transport choices, and we plan to achieve this by:

  • encouraging people to start and keep walking and cycling to get around our neighbourhoods
  • creating and improving cycling and walking connections
  • rolling-out pedestrian and cyclist safety campaigns
  • continuing to advocate for long-term public transport improvements.

On Tuesday, 28 July 2020, Council adopted the MV2040 Action Plan - Green (pdf, 2.95MB), which is  a high-level implementation plan of all the ‘Green’ theme actions in MV2040, to achieve a green city that is ecologically healthy and environmentally responsible.

The first year of the Plan focuses on the delivery of the COVID-19 pandemic recovery items.

On Tuesday, 8 September 2020, Council adopted the MV2040 Action Plan - Beautiful (pdf 3MB). This is a one-year plan focused on how we can help our community and city start recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We want to be a city that celebrates its identity, heritage and open space, and we plan to achieve this by:

  • activating and improving our public parks and reserves
  • beautifying and greening streetscapes
  • continuing to celebrate local places of heritage significance
  • highlighting Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung culture and identity
  • upgrading community assets such as street furniture and playgrounds.
